Journal History

The Interdisciplinary Journal of Portuguese Diaspora Studies (IJPDS) is an initiative of two North American scholars with roots in the Azores: Irene Maria F. Blayer, Brock University, Canada; Dulce Maria Scott, Anderson University, United States. Through this project, these scholars seek to create a forum that will permit academics involved in research and creative writing related to the Portuguese diaspora across the globe to publish their work and engage in a cross-national and cross-disciplinary discourses. This initiative draws on the support of an international and interdisciplinary Editorial Board composed of renowned scholars and creative writers.
